Case Study #1

The relation I see in my writing process and my temperament, character or feelings is that when I am anger I really do not organize much, I just write. The way I feel has a lot to do with the way I write. It depends on how I feel about the topic and my views versus other peoples views. My mood that day has a lot to do with it too. If I am not feeling well I will slap something together quickly. If I feel fine but am not sure about the topic itself I will most likely have to brainstorm first and look at my resources, to figure out exactly what my actual views are on the topic. If I feel fine and I like the topic or dislike the topic and I have got strong views on the topic I will brainstorm, organize, put it all together, re-read it a few times, change the things that need to be changed, and then have someone else read through it to get their ideas, opinions, reactions, then I revise it yet again. I have been told by my counselor, when I was younger, that I make writing seem so easy especially when it is a topic I am familiar with. She has also told me, very often, that if words could kill I would be able to do it because of the way I write and the way I express my feelings through writing them out.

  1. This is a fascinating blog, CJ. I want you to continue to pay attention throughout the semester how your moods/emotions are affecting your writing.
